Opening Day FeastSchool's Open!

September 8th, the day that Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, was the birth of Archbishop Fulton Sheen Catholic Academies. A total of 41 students enrolled in kindergarden and P1. We are working out transportation details as a number of children are from neighboring villages.

The first day of school included a celebration. The children and their parents were given a bottle of soft drink and some biscuits. Fr. Tony Asinyo reports that it was a lovely start.

We are beginning the school using the Catholic church building in Ave-Afiadenyigba. This enables us to focus our efforts on developing curriculum and teaching the students. We anticipate having a ground-breaking for the permanent facility some time this year.
